Shampoo Faux-Hawks

Christian is the best Daddy in the world to these boys. Because he works hard using his noggin most all day at work, he really enjoys his spazzy nights with the boys. A typical night around here is usually filled with supper, clean-up, wrestling/play and bath, every other night. We make an effort to have a no TV rule at supper-time. Even if we're eating turkey dogs and Mac&Cheese, ever since we moved out here and have satellite, we have made a little tradition of playing symphonies from the satellite radio while we fork in our peas or what-have-you.

You'd think that would calm these boys down, but after our "symphony suppers", they usually wrestle in some fashion. Christian throws 'em high and low and we haven't seen their dinners come back up yet! In fact, we have a little routine that here that in about a month will all change so we're holding onto it dearly until those taxes, complete with a soon-to-be new administration's tax laws, start rolling on in. Sometimes Christian's nights are only two hours (or less!) with the boys depending on our many seasons, so he tries to make the best of that sweet time with them.

When Thomas was a wee tot, Christian took on bathing him on his own accord as his one-on-one time with his boy. When Wyatt came along we had to split them at first because of Wyatt's inability to sit up, etc. But for a while now, they bathe together and Christian is the man because he takes them both on like WWF.

This picture is from a couple weeks back and Thomas had requested of Christian a sculptural masterpiece with shampoo. Christian called for me and when I peeked in and saw this, I ran and grabbed my camera because these moments tend not to last all that long. I tried to upload two more photos of this bath-time cuteness, but got denied, like, three times because of our 1994 dial-up issues, so this one will just have to say it all I guess. Okay, then.
