Wilco Is Coming

For my birthday!

Well, it may still be too late to get tickets to the Wilco show on Mar. 18, at the Walton Arts Center, but, we have two tickets. Saaaweetness. We last saw them at Memphis in May in 2003, I believe. Great show. What a great birthday present surprise for my big 28.

At the show in Memphis, we were of course at the front, packed in shoulder-to-shoulder with all kinds. I would like to say that the two most interesting of the night were the 40-ish couple right beside us at the front who were dancing awkwardly and offered us pot, but, the award definitely went to Hunter (directly in from NY for the show, I believe) and brother, Jacob Slaton.

They're kind of like my younger brothers. It was such a surprise to run into them. Our parents were best friends and I know that they would be jealous Wilco are coming to Fayetteville. He is in Iceland (? ... or somewhere like that really cold) at the moment. Maybe he'll meet Bjork.
