My Pie-Cakey-Dough, Mallory

Thomas holding sweet Mallory

Well, I guess I've got formatting issues because my posts have been all scrunched up lately and I don't know why a paragraph break can't stay a paragraph break. Anyone know & care to shed some light on what I could be doing wrong here? I would love and need some help.

Anyway, back to the gorgeous little thing up there in my arms. As my Grandmother endearingly called us when we were little, I'd like to introduce you to my pie-cakey-dough, Mallory Grace. Michael and Lynn, my brother and sis-in-law, came up this last Friday for a visit and we were tickled to get to see them and spend time with them and little Ms. Mallory.

This weekend, Thomas did one of the sweetest things I've ever heard of him doing. The Michael Milton crew got here Friday night and after chatting and hanging out, they retired to the guest room with Mallory, asleep in the Pack-N-Play. Their room is right next to Thomas' room. Mallory woke up at 6AM screaming and a cryin' hungry like babies do and I guess Thomas heard it, too.

Michael and Lynn said that all of a sudden, a book got shoved underneath the door. With Mallory still crying, Michael said that he saw little fingers trying to push the book in further and then some little bubbly toes trying to get that book to that baby! Michael went over to the door and opened it and Thomas was very concerned about his sweet little cousin. They scooped Thomas up in bed with them and read the book to him. Later, he wanted to hold his little Mallory. That is the picture seen above. He loves her so much!

And then there's Wyatt. He would love on Mallory too. He would hover around the rocking chair and whoever was rocking her at the time. He'd pat her head and say, Baby over and over. Once, I was holding Mallory and rocking her and he got jealous and wanted up. I obliged and with Mallory asleep on my left, Wyatt snuggled in on the right and that boy propped his elbow right up on her backside and settled in. Every once in a while, he'd pat me and then go right back to Mallory and say baby all over again.

She is truly a sweet baby girl and our first girl grand-baby of my siblings so she is rightfully so our princess, our little pie-cakey-dough.
