The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five (1961)

Well, I say this and I'll admit that I'm 100% bragging that I've seen Dave Bruebeck live. Twice. Even in his 80s the both times I saw him, his rhythm? Flawless. (Well, just about). The crescendos to the drum and sax solos in this video give me chills. Seriously. When Mr. Bruebeck plays this number live, it lasts about three times what it does in this clip - and about half of that is Bruebeck solo on the piano. Enjoy, kids. Happy Music Monday.
