So I heard or read way back when, can't remember which now, that if you fold yourself in half, we're not really symmetrical. Don't know why, but I got to thinking about that the other day and here are my thoughts about it, regarding my own physical characteristics, starting from the top:
- My haircut really is pretty symmetrical. I've got a blunt bob with blunt, straight-across bangs.
- My eyebrows look different. On the right side, that eyebrow has a cowlick or something and so some of the participants on the right side like to stick up instead of play with the others and lean to the right. Speaking of cowlicks, I've got one of those too, right at the top of my forehead where my hairline starts, which you can't see now because it is covered by my bangs.
- I have green eyes, but my right eye has a "freckle" (don't know if that's the correct technical term for this) in it and it's sort of gold-ish-green. I had one other friend (Allison West) growing up who had a freckle in one eye, too.
- My left ear has four holes in it from piercings. My right ear, only one.
- When I smile, I think I might have a dimple on one side of my face and not the other.
OK, that's it for my face, I guess. Moving on...
- My right shoulder has one bone that pokes out at the top of my shoulder more than my left. It's weird.
- I broke my left elbow as a child and they set it incorrectly at the time, so that as I grew, it looked bowed and sometimes it would buckle. I had corrective surgery when I was 14 where they sawed out some bone, swung it back into place and pinned it. Because of this, I guess I like my right arm better than my left. No scar. Although, sometimes scars and how we get them make for great conversation.
- I like my left hand better than my right because I broke my middle finger on my right hand in college (thank you John Snider), and had jammed it and my ring finger so many times playing basketball/volleyball growing up, that I swear they look crooked.
- I used to have a sort of lopsided chest, too. But having two kids and nursing them both pretty much took care of that, thank you.
- I like my left leg better than my right, even though I have a scar on my left knee from when I fell on the asphalt black top in elementary school, slicing my knee open with what looked like a slate skipping rock, and so I had to have stitches. I think I like my left leg better (this is going to sound crazy) than my right because I'm right-footed/legged and played soccer and so it's slightly more muscular than my left leg. I wonder if my right arm is the same?
- I mean, my feet look pretty much the same, but I like my left big toe better than my right. My right big toe has a birthmark on it that looks like a freckle. I mean, who gets a birthmark on their big toe?
So, do other people think about things like this, or is it just me?

Dude my whole body is jacked up. I don't even want to start!!
This is clever. I like it. FYI: Note on eyebrows....in my other life as a makeup artist we used to say that your eyebrows are sisters but they are not twins. I thought you might like that.
