Last week was our last day of Mother's Day Out for the summer. Wyatt stayed home with me his first year and so this was his first year to go hang out with a teacher and make some new friends. He loved sticking his little fingers into paint to make caterpillar crafts. He loves Ms. Rita, his teacher, even more. Here is a picture of them on his last day.Thomas has just finished his second year of Mother's Day Out. He started going to MDO a lot later than Wyatt did at the age of two-and-a-half. I don't know what's a harder age to teach, willful three and four-year-olds that require constant activity and stimulation or that whole entering the two's, 18 months to two years age, where everythin
g is a possibility and nothing seems off-limits in their eyes? What I do know is that it takes a special person to do either. And, that's just what we got in both the boys' teachers this year.Thomas is a little less free-giving of his affection, unlike mushy, snugly, hugs-and-kisses Wyatt, who is a little more like me in that. Thomas is more like his Daddy and thinks his love to others in massive amounts while showing it in his longing to spend quality time with you. Here he is giving his version of a thanks for everything, I really love ya even if I didn't tell you ten thousand times, lay on Ms. Debbie goodbye hug. And, did she ever earn this love!
Thomas goes to preschool next year. He's pretty excited about it. So are we. Big thanks to both of the boys' teachers. You'll be missed!
