Mr. Bunny Cake; A Self-Portrait

My consistently eager egg-cracker.

This was a first for Thomas with the hand-mixer. He did awesome.

Mr. Bunny cake cut-outs.

Mr. Bunny, the finished product. Whoops, jelly bean overboard!

Funny things about this cake:

In the
entire bag of Starburst jelly beans, there were only two green jelly beans to represent mine and Thomases green eyes. Yes, my bunny is chocolate on the inside, vanilla on the outside - much like me. And lastly, this picture doesn't show it, but underneath all that coconut is flecks of chocolate cake in the frosting making Mr. Bunny look like he had freckles. So, pretty much, this cake is my self-portrait. Thanks to my high school friend Teneshia for the recipe, and also, for the chat all the way from Alabama.

Love the cake! My mom made one for us as well. And, I am happy to see I am not the only sappy one who wanted to dress my boys alike for Easter!
